When this happens

Descriptive updates cannot replace financial balances or the obligation type. A connection that declares snapshot balance authority also cannot use event operations as balance writers. New Payment observations, refunds and reversals are unavailable when Source and working positions differ or an unused working credit remains.

What to do

For a transaction feed, use explicit ordered financial evidence. For a snapshot-only connection, use ordered balance snapshots; event balance writes are unavailable in that mode. Resolve the source mapping or financial uncertainty with the integration owner before resubmission. Do not submit the same funds under another identity to bypass reconciliation. Do not retry an unchanged request. Include the request ID when contacting support, without credentials or personal payloads.
