# payment_request_stale

> Payment request is stale (HTTP 409).

## When this happens

A requested amount no longer equals the Receivable's current working balance, so the request would charge the wrong amount.

## What to do

Read the Receivables, then create a new request with the current balances. If the error persists, contact [help@paypathiq.com](mailto:help@paypathiq.com) with the `requestId`.
