# invalid_receivable_transition

> Invalid Receivable transition (HTTP 409).

## When this happens

The lifecycle command is not allowed from the Receivable's current status. A closed Receivable cannot be paused, and only a closed Receivable can be reopened.

## What to do

`GET` the Receivable to check its `status`, then send the command that fits it.
