# change_cursor_expired

> Change cursor expired (HTTP 410).

| Field | Value |
| - | - |
| Status | `410` |
| Problem `type` | `https://docs.paypathiq.com/problems/change_cursor_expired` |
| Retryable | No. Retrying the same cursor always fails. |

## When this happens

The cursor points before the oldest retained change. Changes are retained for 30 days, so a consumer that has been offline for longer cannot resume from its stored cursor.

## What to do

Resynchronize. Request [`GET /v1/clients/{clientCode}/changes?from=latest`](/change-feed#resynchronize-after-an-expired-cursor) to obtain a cursor positioned after every change committed so far, read the current Customers and Receivables you need, then resume the feed from that cursor.
