# batch_limit_exceeded

> Batch limit exceeded (HTTP 429).

## When this happens

The connection already has 2 queued or running batches.

## What to do

Poll `GET /v1/clients/{clientCode}/batches/{externalBatchId}` until one is `succeeded`, `partially_succeeded` or `failed`, then submit again. Resubmitting an existing identifier with an identical body is always allowed.
